Introducing James Alexander, REVL Training’s Regional Manager for Victoria and South Australia ⚡️⁠

For those who already know James within the REVL Training network, you might recognise him as your Head Coach at Unley, a mental health advocate, a friend, a mentor, or a leader. In any case, if you know James, you’ll be familiar with the warm and engaging energy he brings to any room, studio, or event.⁠
⁠
Nearly two and a half years ago, James began his journey with REVL, starting as a casual coach and working across all sessions, James quickly demonstrated his leadership potential, fortunate to have Cassie, a REVL brand legend as his mentor he quickly progressed within the studio. Within a few weeks, he was promoted to Head Coach at Unley. Now, a few years later, he’s stepping into the role of VIC/SA Regional Manager.⁠

Beyond his work at REVL, James is deeply passionate about mental health advocacy. Over the past four years, he has raised $75,000 for R U OK? through various fundraising events - A huge feat! His personal experiences with mental health challenges have fuelled his dedication to supporting others. As an ambassador and speaker for R U OK, James has inspired many REVL members to open up and seek help.⁠

Here to foster the growth of our network by up skilling coaches and studio managers, bringing innovative ideas to life, and of course continuing to elevate the standard of the REVL product and programming delivery regionally - Welcome, James! How do you rate your wall balls? Here’s three tips from REVL Training’s Co-Founder @bennywoolford for mastering them in tomorrow’s Sweat Engine:

⚡️ Let’s start with efficient wall ball technique - remember, speed comes from smoothness. Catch with high hands and find your flow.

⚡️ Try breaking your sets into smaller segments (10-15 reps) with short 3-5 second rests in between. This approach can often be more effective than attempting one large set followed by several smaller ones.

⚡️ Maintain a steady pace as each work interval will last 2-3 minutes at a time. Rest periods will be earned throughout both series.
